The Yachtmaster title allows you to command vessels up to 24 meters in length and navigate up to a maximum distance of 150 nautical miles from the coast. This certification requires prior possession of the PER (Recreational Boat Skipper) title and passing the corresponding exam, which is divided into two modules: a generic one (Safety at sea and Meteorology) and a navigation one (Navigation Theory, rhumb line courses, tides, and problems on the Strait's navigation chart).


Requirements:

  • Be over 18 years old, or over 16 years old with parental permission at the time of taking the theoretical exam.
  • Possess the PER title.
  • Pass the corresponding theoretical exam.
  • Complete 48 hours of Yachtmaster practical training.
  • Undergo a psychotechnical test.


Modes of obtaining:

  • In-person: Theoretical course plus mandatory practical training.
  • Streaming (Online Direct): Theoretical course plus mandatory practical training.
  • Blended learning: Theoretical course plus mandatory practical training.
  • For companies and groups: Theoretical course plus mandatory practical training (engine and radio).
